In his new video for "How Low" Ludacris is the ass-obsessed version of "Candy Man." According to twerk folklore If a young lady goes low enough in the mirror Ludacris will appear and the party will begin. Dads, lock up your daughters and cover the looking glass.We like the song and the video's concept but not the Dave Meyers directed clip itself. Meyers has long been the director known for budget-busting mini-movies with imaginative special effects, but his glory days might be over because "How Low" just isn't that exciting. Sure there are a lot of nubile dancers and a wacky CG Luda-doppleganger but we've seen all of that before. Maybe Meyers should stick to commercials? And after listening to serious Ludacris, it's odd to see silly Luda again because he seems too mature to be comfortable in the jester outfit that built his career. Still, "How Low" will still knock in the club at 1 a.m., girls will be gettin' down on the flo' and dudes will be thanking Luda for inciting stripper-like behavior.
